Missions
Blood Drive
RiversEdge United Methodist Church proudly hosts bi-monthly blood drives. The importance of blood to our human life cannot be understated. We Christians remember how Christ shed His blood for all, so we pay it forward by helping others live when their health has been compromised.
Backpack Buddies
Christ’s love encompasses all of life, including education. The RiversEdge United Methodist Church’s Backpack Buddy ministry helps to provide children with school supplies if their household income is challenged. This ministry serves our local grade school, Riverview Elementary. We strive to serve our neighbors in need.
Weekend Snackpac
RiversEdge United Methodist Church supports the Weekend Snackpac program at our local schools; the Riverview Grade School and Metamora High School. This program provides low-income students with nourishing and healthy snacks to improve their focus and performance on weekends.
Rummage Sale
Our church conducts an annual rummage sale. All items are donated by the church members, and all purchases are by donation only. The proceeds from the sale support our mission activities throughout the year.
International Mission
RiversEdge United Methodist Church also support a missionary in Liberia and other missionary activities through Midwest mission distribution center, Love packages, United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR), and African University.
